Design, build & weekly care
Carrascalinho, Aljezur
A wild Mediterranean garden with a natural swimming pond, meadow planting and stone paths. Designed, built and cared for by Raízes.
Raízes designs, builds and maintains gardens across the western Algarve. One professional team, one clear plan, and weekly photo updates in your own client portal.
Most gardens are designed once and then left to whoever cuts the grass. With Raízes, the person who understands the design is the one who manages its care.
Every garden is overseen by a qualified landscape architect, so care decisions follow the design.
We know the western Algarve: the Atlantic wind, salt air, dry summers and the plants that thrive here.
A trained, uniformed team with full work insurance. You never have to worry about who is in your garden.
Project updates and photos from every maintenance visit, in one private place. Ideal if you live abroad.

Before
After

Every plan includes a supervised, insured crew and photo updates in your client portal after each visit.
A steady rhythm for established gardens that need to stay neat, healthy and watered right.
For gardens that should always look their best, whether you are home or away.
The whole team for a day. Perfect before the season, after the winter, or before guests arrive.
Each client gets a private portal. After every visit the crew uploads photos and notes, and project work is tracked step by step. No chasing, no guessing.

Olive trees shaped, lavender cut back, two drippers replaced on the south bed.
We walk the garden with you, look at soil, plants, water and what you want from the space.
You get a tailored plan and the right programme: twice a month, weekly, or a crew day to begin.
Your portal opens and the updates start arriving after every visit.
About us
Raízes is Barak and Tamar.
Barak is a landscape architect. In Israel he worked with city councils and private landscape offices, designing public spaces and gardens of every scale.
Almost ten years ago we moved to Portugal’s west coast. We fell in love with this land: the wind, the long dry summers, the plants that already know how to live with both. Slowly, that love became our work.
We start with what’s already there. We read the land first, then strengthen what it needs and bring out what it gives. For us, a garden isn’t a job. It’s a living place that grows with the people who live in it.
Tell us a little about your garden and we will arrange a visit. We reply in English or Portuguese.
